RICHMOND, Virginia—Estes was honored with four awards for its exemplary safety record at the annual American Trucking Associations (ATA) Safety and Loss Prevention Management Council conference.

Estes took first place honors in the Industrial Safety category for the fewest number of lost workdays due to injuries among all LTL carriers with over 5,000 employees. The company received a third place award in the Fleet Safety contest for the lowest accident rate among LTL carriers in the over 100 million miles driven annually category.

The company’s western division, Estes West, received first place in the Industrial Safety contest for companies with between 1,001 and 5,000 employees and third place in the Fleet Safety contest for companies in the 10–50 million mile division.

“Safety is our number one priority at Estes, and the ATA awards are a nice recognition of the efforts put forth every day by our employees to ensure safe, on-time delivery of our customers’ freight,” said Curtis Carr, Estes’ Vice President of Safety.
