HOUSTON, TX, JULY 26: International freight forwarder Consolidators International, Inc. (CII) is expanding with the opening of a full service facility in Houston, Texas.

With the opening of this new office, located adjacent to Houston International Airport, CII is offering a complete menu of logistic options including international and domestic air, ocean and surface transportation.

Head of the new office is Steve Roper, CII's Vice President, Sales & Operation, Southwest Region. Steve is heavily experienced in all phases of cargo operations with particular knowledge and expertise in logistics for the energy industry.

While we are based in Houston, CII is offering its services throughout the entire Southwest where much of the energy industry is located, commented the CII VP. The forwarder chose Houston for its new base as this city is the corporate center for oil & gas companies. Also, Houston International Airport has excellent uplift for air cargo and the Houston 70-mile ships channel to the Gulf of Mexico allows vessels carrying massive breakbulk cargo to sail directly to international ports.

Steve stated, that our new facility is geared particularly to handle heavy duty equipment of all kinds. He noted that two of the initial assignments of the just opened CII facility were moving two oil rigs to the nation of Outer Mongolia and a 200-ton extraction machine sent to Dakar, Senegal for a mining company. The forwarder is concentrating on destinations to the Middle East, Australia, Asia and Africa. We have particular expertise in arranging transportation to obscure and off-beat ports where many mining and oil operations are located inland, said the CII Vice President.

The Houston head commented the new CII office is company owned and operated. We are not a franchised operation, he emphasized.

To exporters of oil, gas, mining and other industrial equipment, CII is offering smooth, efficient and competitively priced delivery of their cargo by air or ocean with arrival dates honored, concluded Steve.

The Houston terminal is CII's newest facility, joining its existing offices in Atlanta and JFK. Headquarters are in Los Angeles.
