The transpacific activities of Airline Network Services underwent significant expansion with China Southern Airlines' appointment of ANS to handle cargo sales in the Los Angeles and San Francisco regions.
Jens Tubbesing, ANS' chief executive, stated that the cargo sales agency's representation in California of the Chinese air carrier embraces both freighter and belly-loaded flights, Westbound flights for ANS customers are performed by new B777 aircraft destined for Shanghai and Guangzhou and beyond, Tubbesing stated. The Boeing jets are generally recognized as the most advanced in long-haul operations.
