Singapore, 17 May 2010 - Global NVOCC (Non Vessel Common Carrier) CargoGulf has continued its strategic expansion in south-east Asia with the opening of its seventh office, at Port Klang in Malaysia. The latest addition will further enhance the ocean cargo carrier's consolidation services to freight forwarders and logistics companies across Asia, the Middle East, Europe and the Americas.

CargoGulf Malaysia was opened in direct response to client demand for direct services in the country, and will help clients achieve economies of scale, thanks to the company's relationships with suppliers and overseas partners.

Growth & potential
Encouraging signs of growth in the Malaysian economy also drove the decision to open a base in the country, says Hans-Henrik Nielsen, Managing Director of CargoGulf (Singapore) Pte Ltd.

We believe that Malaysia will emerge as a strong alternative to the large economies of China and India, offering overseas clients competitive prices and high quality products, he adds. Our goal is to serve both domestic and international customers who recognise that potential, hence our decision to invest in this new office at Port Klang, one of the country's strongest direct ports of call.

It is part of our long-term strategy to grow, both regionally and globally, in key markets where it makes good business sense for us.

Expanding network
The new office joins CargoGulf's network with bases in Singapore, Jakarta and Surabaya in Indonesia, Bangkok in Thailand, Dubai and Manchester in the U.K., all manned by teams of experienced logistics professionals. It adds significant value to import clients in core markets, further streamlining the organisation in South East Asia.
