Con-way names Michael Kucinski director of sales

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Con-way Multimodal, the freight brokerage division of San Francisco-based Menlo Logistics, announced that Michael R. Kucinski has been named director of sales for the organization. In his new role, Kucinski becomes the sales leader for Con-way Multimodal. He will be responsible for developing sales and customer acquisition strategies to influence and build market share and revenue growth, as well as providing strategic direction and counsel to the company’s account management teams. “Mike’s strong sales background and in-depth knowledge of the freight transportation industry is a great addition to our leadership team,” said Greg Orr, president of Con-way Multimodal. “Combining his years of experience with a broad range of expertise in the various entities within Con-way, Mike is uniquely suited to be the executive leader of our sales efforts.” Prior to joining the Con-way Multimodal family, Kucinski was director of human resources for Con-way Freight since 2009. Beginning his tenure with Con-way Freight in 1991, he served in a variety of increasingly responsible sales and operations leadership capacities, working both in the corporate office and in field assignments as service center manager and account manager. Kucinski has a bachelor’s degree in literature, science and the arts, with a concentration in economics, from the University of Michigan. He will be located in Con-way Multimodal’s Ann Arbor office.
