Advent Intermodal Names Dennis Monts Executive Vice President - Commercial Operations

November 9, 2018 – Advent Intermodal Solutions, LLC today announced the appointment of Dennis Monts as Executive Vice President – Commercial Operations. The appointment of one of the intermodal industry’s foremost logistics and technology development experts, signals Advent’s continued commitment to addressing the fundamental need for collaboration and digitization solutions in container logistics. Mr. Monts brings over 30 years of experience across the intermodal, trucking, third party logistics, warehousing and employment service sectors. He will focus on helping shippers and their 3PL and trucking partners with predictive cargo visibility solutions, realization of new operational efficiencies and capturing untapped savings across their landside container supply chain.

Previous experience

Previously with the Intermodal Association of North America, Monts spearheaded commercial and product development for IANA’s Intermodal Information Services leading to a broad suite of technology applications providing regulatory compliance, equipment interchange, terminal gate data processing, safety and risk management solutions across all intermodal stakeholders. His prior senior executive experience includes leadership roles at Matson Logistics, Randstad Holding and General Motors Corporation, as well as serving as senior economist for the American Trucking Associations. Mr. Monts has also intertwined a successful series of entrepreneurial business launches in the banking, retail, television, staffing, distribution, trucking and third party logistics sectors.

A graduate of James Madison University with an Economics B.B.A., he is a Six Sigma Champion with professional development certifications from the Center for Creative Leadership, Emory University and the Harvard Business School.
