AMI USA airport-door: increased frequency, same cost

JOC Staff |
AMI - the world’s largest trade-only airfreight wholesaler – has opened up greater frequency on all its UK-USA delivered-to-door services. Customers can now move shipments on the next available flight - even if AMI does not operate a consolidation that day - without paying extra for non-consolidated service.

For example, where AMI previously offered consolidated, low-cost delivered-to-door services to Atlanta on Thursdays and Saturdays, it has added non-consolidated service options on every other day of the week at the same rate. Similar service upgrades apply to shipments on any AMI-approved carrier, via any of AMI’s 23 USA gateways. In almost all cases, this means AMI is offering daily (or even multiple daily) services.

There is no change to the commodities accepted on the service, and the carriers and receiving agents used also remain unaffected. Full details of the services and rates are included in AMI’s latest PDF tariff.

Says AMI General Manager Nigel Moolenaar: “Our customers can now take the next available flight, and trim their overall transit times, at no additional cost. It’s the latest move in our continuing drive to make customers more competitive with major agents and integrators.”
