The event was held under the patronage of H.E. Mariam Mohammad Khalfan Al Roomi, Minister of Social Affairs, and Chairman of Social Responsibility Fund.

Agility's Chairman and Managing Director, Tarek Sultan, was recognized for his leadership in corporate responsibility in the MENA region, and Agility's community engagement program was also honored by the judging committee. Over 100 applications were received by the conference organizers for these regional CSR awards.

Agility's corporate social responsibility program covers humanitarian relief, community engagement, and environmental action. Agility's Humanitarian and Emergency Logistics Program (HELP) brings the company's expertise in emergency preparedness and response operations to some of the world's most challenging environments. In the last three years, Agility has provided pro bono logistics support in disasters in Myanmar, Lebanon, Philippines, Indonesia, Iraq, and Bangladesh.

Agility's corporate grant program encourages and empowers members of Agility's workforce who are passionate about giving back to the community to take a proactive role in leading community projects. Since 2006, Agility has invested in 290 projects, in 52 countries, reaching almost 500,000 people with some form of service activity.

Finally, Agility believes in giving back, not only to local communities - but also to the very world we live in. Agility is working with the World Economic Forum to identify best practices in reducing carbon in the supply chain, actively engaging employees on how to reduce our own company's carbon footprint, and working towards helping customers understand the environmental implications of their purchasing decisions.

Speaking about the awards, Tarek Sultan, Chairman and Managing Director of Agility said: At Agility we have integrated corporate social responsibility into our corporate culture. We believe passionately in giving back to the communities in which we operate - not just through donations or one off projects, but through a comprehensive series of initiatives focusing on sustainability, disaster response, and employee volunteerism and it is an honor to receive these awards in recognition of our efforts.
