Mondovi, Wis.-based temperature-controlled truckload carrier Marten Transport this week reported the highest net income for any quarter and year in the company’s history.
Profit in the fourth quarter was $7.72 million, inching up 0.7 percent from the previous record of $7.66 million in the fourth quarter of 2011. For the full year of 2012, income was $27.3 million, jumping 12.3 percent from $24.3 million in 2011.
Revenue from truckload and logistics operations increased to $166.4 million in the fourth quarter, up from $158.3 million in 2011’s fourth quarter. For the year, revenue was $638.5 million, compared with $603.7 million in 2011.
