Logistics and supply chain management solutions company Ryder Systems received three anti-terrorism certifications this week for its logistics operations in the Asia and trans-Pacific regions.
Ryder Ascent Logistics Singapore and Ryder Supply Chain Solutions Asia are now certified as part of the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism, while Ryder CRSA Logistics is certified in the Canada Partners in Protection program.
Canada Partners in Protection, or PIP, is part of the Canada Borders Services Agency and works with private industries to secure borders and fight organized crime and terrorism.
“For customers who rely on Ryder to safely and securely execute supply chain movements throughout North America and Asia, these voluntary certifications help to improve customs compliance, speed border crossings, and bolster overall supply chain security,” said Gene Sevilla-Sacasa, Ryder's vice president of international supply chain solutions.
Based in Miami, Ryder has operations across North America, the U.K. and Asia. The company reported revenue of $5.14 billion in 2010.
