Driver Shortage? Yes, But Not Yet a 'Crisis'

I noticed that WalMart has a 60 foot trailer that just hit the road in Canada. I wonder how much empty miles we have daily due to poor visibility and proper packaging and loading of trailers. When do you think we will have a "Freight Reservation" system that is connected to order entry systems and wms's?
