Integrated Freight Buys Cross Creek Trucking

Long-haul and regional trucking operator Integrated Freight acquired Cross Creek Trucking of Medford, Ore., extending its reach to the Pacific Northwest.

Cross Creek is the latest in a series of acquisitions by Integrated Freight, a holding company that is building a national network of regional truckload carriers.

Integrated Freight owns Morris Transportation, Hamburg, Ark.; Smith Systems Transport, Scott's Bluff, Neb.; and Triple C Transport, Doniphan, Neb.

Cross Creek, founded in 1986, is a 115-tractor refrigerated and dry van carrier that specializes in less-than-truckload produce and general freight.

"Strategically, Cross Creek fits in perfectly with what we're trying to build here at Integrated," said Paul Henley, CEO of Integrated Freight.

“The combination of Cross Creek with our current operators will result in more routes, additional customers, and a better bottom line across the fleet," he said.

Cross Creek, a $28 million carrier, serves shippers nationwide with a focus on Oregon, Washington, California, Utah, Nevada, Idaho and Nebraska.

Integrated Freight, a publicly owned company, reported a net loss of $1.68 million on $10.34 million in revenue in its fiscal third quarter, which ended Dec. 31.

Last month Integrated named board member Hank Hoffman president and chief operating officer. Hoffman previously was president of SeaBridge Freight.

Hoffman is a veteran trucking executive who has worked for Tri-State Motor Transit, Schneider National and Viking Freight System among other companies.
