DISTRACTED DRIVING - IMPACT ON EMPLOYEE SAFETY, PRODUCTIVITY AND EMPLOYER LIABILITY

You are invited to join the League's webinar on Thursday, May 7th at 2 p.m. (EDT) on "Distracted Driving - Impact on Employee Safety, Productivity and Employer Liability," presented by David D. Teater from the National Safety Council. Mr. Teater will discuss the impact of distracted driving on traffic safety, the science behind distracted driving and driver performance, common misperceptions about cell phones and distracted driving, corporate policies prohibiting employee cell phone use while driving, the legislative environment and new technologies to combat distracted driving.

Mr. Teater leads the NSC's advocacy initiatives to reduce deaths and injuries associated with distracted driving. His 30 year business career has included serving as CEO of several private companies including 20 years at an automotive supplier that provided research and strategy consulting services to most auto manufacturers. Mr. Teater joined the NSC in 2009 after its call for a nationwide ban on cell phone use while driving. He is Senior Director, Transportation Initiatives at the National Safety Council. David is a frequent speaker on the topic of distracted driving and has appeared before several state legislatures and testified before the U.S. Congress.
