Pacer Names Gardner to Lead International Units

Pacer International named Daniel L. Gardner leader of its international business units, which include Ocean World Lines, Pacer's global door-to-door and end-to-end cargo consolidator, and RF International, Pacer's freight forwarding and customs broker unit.

Gardner replaces Alan Baer, who left the office of president March 31.

Pacer's international operations maintain direct links with its transload presence in Southern California and its intermodal and cartage operations.

Before joining Pacer in January, Gardner held senior management positions at Fritz Companies, Exel Global Logistics and DHL Global Logistics. He has spent the past two months visiting Ocean World Lines' operations, carriers and customers throughout the U.S., Europe and Asia.
