Hurricane Sandy will delay shipments on Norfolk Southern Railway’s network from Virginia and New England by at least 72 hours, according to the Virginia-based railroad.
Operations are expected to be hindered by “heavy rains, flooding and high winds,” NS stated on its website. Shippers can gain updated information via Pacesetter and accessNS. Archrival CSX Transportation shut down its rail network from Richmond, Va., through New England earlier today.
