Kansas City Southern Rearranges Leadership

Kansas City Southern’s U.S. transportation group has reorganized its management.

Four people have shifted into new roles:

  • Rick Pennington is now vice president of transportation for the Southeast division, based in Shreveport, La. He was previously at Shreveport Terminal.
  • David Carroll has become assistant vice president of transportation for the Southwest division, based in Shreveport and The Woodlands, Texas. Prior to this, he was in charge of the Southeast division.
  • Mike Curry is now the assistant vice president of transportation for the Midwest division, based at Knoche Yard in Kansas City, Mo. He was previously at the network operations center at the corporate headquarters in Kansas City.
  • Chad Devenney has become assistant vice president of transportation for the network operations center. He used to lead the Midwest division.

“Regularly rotating our leadership strengthens the skillset of our network and field transportation team,” said Mark Redd, KCS’s vice president of transportation, in a written statement.
