Carol Whitmore, Port Manatee's 2013 chairman.Members of the Manatee County Port Authority in Florida recently elected fellow member Carol Whitmore as 2013 chairman, succeeding Larry Bustle.
Other elected members included John Chappie as first vice chairman, Michael Gallen as second vice chairman and Vanessa Baugh as third vice chairman.
Whitmore was previously first vice chairman.
Veteran members Larry Bustle, former chairman, and Robin DiSabatino, former second vice chairman, joined Betsy Benac, the newly elected commissioner, as members of the port’s governing body.
MCPA members serve four-year staggered terms with annual election of officers. The authority sets policy and approves major expenditures for Port Manatee.
