W. Patrick Burgoyne, Ceres Terminals' new president and CEO.NYK Group Americas has named W. Patrick Burgoyne president and CEO of its subsidiary Ceres Terminals, effective April 1.
Since 2010, Burgoyne has served as president and CEO of Yusen Terminals, NYK Group’s other subsidiary. He will retain this role going forward and will be based at the Ceres’ headquarters in East Brunswick, N.J.
Before joining NYK Group in 2008 as chief operating officer of Yusen Terminals, Burgoyne worked for 20 years in various international container and terminal operating positions at Sea-Land, Maersk Line and APM Terminals. He is also a member of the NYK Group Americas board of directors.
Burgoyne succeeds Thomas J. Simmers, who led Ceres Terminals since 2003. Simmers will be leaving the North American stevedore and marine terminal operator on March 31.
