SMV 4531 TB5Finnish crane company Konecranes has introduced the SMV 4531 TB5 HLT, a hybrid reach stacker for container handling, with a lifting capacity of 45 tons.
The reach stacker features a hybrid diesel-electric driveline, an electrified hydraulic lifting system and a supercapacitor-based energy storage, the company said. Fuel consumption is expected to be around 2.6 gallons per hour during normal handling of fully loaded containers.
The reach stacker is being tested at the Port of Helsingborg’s container terminal in Sweden.
