Liebherr's SC350T straddle carrier.Liebherr Container Cranes has announced receipt of an order for four SC350T straddle carriers from Lyttelton Port of Christchurch in New Zealand.
The crane company said straddle carriers are scheduled for delivery in mid-2013. They stack 1-over-2 high and are supplied with a 50-ton twin lift spreader.
The straddle carriers will join a pair of Liebherr ship-to-shore cranes at the port and will be linked to a remote container tracking system, which provides real-time information on the position and handling rates of containers within the terminal.
