Strikes Hit Portugal's Ports

Portuguese ports face a series of strikes through the second half of September, maritime services provider Inchcape Shipping Services reports.

The strikes – by pilots, stevedores and port administration workers – will occur in several stages and are expected to have an impact on vessel movements in the ports. The workers are protesting government austerity policies, including pay cuts.
