Crowley Maritime Corp.’s liner services division and the Teamsters union have agreed on a five-year contract for workers at the company’s marine terminal in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
The agreement with Teamsters Local 901 covers unionized terminal and stevedoring workers at Crowley’s Isla Grande terminal.

“We have successfully worked with the Teamsters union to provide uninterrupted cargo transportation services with no strikes or work stoppages for over 40 years, and we look forward to continuing our mutually beneficial relationship for many years to come,” said John Douglass, Crowley’s senior vice president and general manager, Puerto Rico and Caribbean services.
Crowley and its predecessor companies have operated in the U.S. mainland-Puerto Rico market since 1954. Crowley employs 260 people in San Juan, including unionized workers covered by the new contract.
