Dockworker Strike Hits Le Havre

The port of Le Havre, France’s second largest, was crippled yesterday when all 2,400 dockworkers went on strike, RFI reports. Many of the 1,200 shipping agents at the port were said to have stopped work as well.

The protests reflected concerns about job cuts in the face of a deficit and rising unemployment.
