Associated British Ports Names New Chief Executive

UK port group Associated British Ports today announced that after six years as chief executive, Peter Jones will retire at the end of March 2013.

Jones will be succeeded by James Cooper, who has served as ABP’s non-executive director since May 2007. Cooper is currently a director of Infracapital, the European infrastructure fund of M & G Investments, one of the four investors in the Admiral Consortium that acquired ABP in 2006.

Cooper will join the team on March 1, 2013, and will assume responsibility as CEO from the beginning of April.
