OOCL will implement a general rate increase on trans-Atlantic cargo moving via Canadian ports, starting April 1.
OOCL will raise rates $320 per 20-foot equivalent container and $400 per 40-foot equivalent unit on all cargo moving between Europe, Canada, and the U.S. via Canadian ports.
Rates on have remained much more stable in the last year on the trans-Atlantic the trade has not been plagued by the huge oversupply of capacity that has undermined rates on the other major east-west trades lane.
