The Trans-Pacific Maritime conference, The Journal of Commerce’s largest event of year, will be held on March 4-6, 2012, and March 3-5, 2013, in Long Beach, Calif.
Both events, geared towards professionals involved in the movement of containerized cargo between Asia and North America and globally, will again take place at the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center, as well as in the connecting Hyatt Regency Long Beach.
TPM’s 11th annual event, held in March of this year, brought in a record 1,700 attendees. The event is attended by representatives of BCO companies, container lines, 3PLs, railroads, port authorities and marine terminals.
“Based on attendees’ very positive feedback about downtown Long Beach as an ideal venue for TPM, we’re really pleased to be able to lock in the event at this location for the next two years,” said Peter Tirschwell, senior VP of strategy for UBM Global Trade.
TPM is a neutral forum organized by the JOC.
