Mediterranean Shipping Co. said it will implement a general rate increase on cargo shipped from the Far East to New Zealand as of April 15.
The rate increase, which applies to cargo shipped from all ports in Asia to New Zealand, will be $300 per 20-foot container, $600 per 40-foot container and 40-foot high-cube containers.
