Hapag-Lloyd Sets Peak-Season Surcharge to India

Hapag-Lloyd will impose a peak-season surcharge on eastbound trades from North Europe and the Mediterranean to the Indian subcontinent.

The planned surcharge of $250 per 20-foot equivalent unit will take effect May 1 and remain in force until July 31.

The subcontinent region includes ports in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
