World Shipping Council Names New Brussels Representative

The World Shipping Council today named Damian Viccars as its newest Brussels Representative to permanently cooperate with the European Union in the development of its supply chain and cargo security policies.

Viccars has been working for the liner shipping industry group in Brussels since 2001, developing expertise in EU transport policy and working with United Nations bodies involved in transport policy.

Prior to joining WSC, he worked for the International Road Transport Union for seven years as the head of global social affairs, where he was responsible for road transport employment policy and legislation worldwide.
