Hapag-Lloyd is planning two rounds of rate increases from the Far East to Europe and the Mediterranean.
The first hike is scheduled to take effect on April 15, with the second following approximately a month later, on May 13. The increase will be $500 per 20-foot-equivalent unit in each round, the German ocean carrier said.
