Hapag-Lloyd will launch a new weekly service next month connecting Germany with ports in the Baltic region.
The Russia Express Service will connect Hamburg and Bremerhaven, the two major North German hubs in Hapag-Lloyd's worldwide service network, directly with Russia, Finland and Poland.
The REX loop will deploy two vessels with capacities of 1,400 20-foot equivalent units that are equipped to cope with floating ice in the Baltic.
The weekly port rotation will be: Bremerhaven, Hamburg, St. Petersburg, Helsinki, Gdynia and back to Bremerhaven.
