Hanjin Shipping is introducing a new West Australia Express service (WAX), effective the middle of January.
The service is currently operated by “K” Line, Hanjin Shipping’s partner in the CKYH Alliance, as WASCO, or West Australia Container Service, with two 1,700 20-foot-equivalent unit ships sailing between Singapore and Fremantle, Australia. Hanjin will be participating in the service by securing vessel slots. It is also launching a new agency to promote sales in the region.
The introduction of the service expands Hanjin Shipping’s network to include both east and west coasts of Australia, the company said in a written statement.
