Emirates to Raise Rates on Asia Services

Emirates Shipping Line plans several rate increases on its Asia services, effective Sept. 1.

The Middle Eastern container carrier said rates from Far East and Southeast Asia to East Africa will go up by $200 per 20-foot-equivalent unit. Rates from Far East and Southeast Asia to the Indian subcontinent will rise by $250 per TEU, and rates from those same regions to the Middle East will increase by $500 per TEU.
