Chilean container carrier CSAV will impose a general rate increase on westbound trade from the Indian Subcontinent to North Europe and the Mediterranean.
The proposed increase, starting May 1, will be $200 per 20-foot and $300 per 40-foot container.
“In order to continue offering our wide portfolio of services and high level of reliability, it will be necessary for us to implement a general rate increase,” CSAV India said.
Meanwhile, Hamburg Sud said it will apply a $200 per TEU rate increase on trades from the Subcontinent to Europe, South America and the Caribbean. The proposed GRI, covering both dry and reefer shipments, will take effect May 1.
