Cosco Container Lines, one of the four carrier members of the CKYH Alliance, will institute several surcharge adjustments.
On Dec. 20, the ocean carrier will impose an emergency bunker adjustment of $450 per 20-foot-equivalent unit and $900 per 40-foot-equivalent for all shipments from the Far East to South Africa.
Starting Jan. 1, 2013, Cosco will implement a surcharge of $225 per 20-foot-equivalent unit and $325 per 40-foot-equivalent unit for shipments between the Far East and Israel.
The company will also apply a surcharge of $345 per TEU and $395 per FEU for all reefer shipments between the Far East and Israel, effective Jan. 1, 2013, and between the U.S. and Israel, effective Jan. 19, 2013.
