CMA CGM Posts Amended Services With MSC

CMA CGM announced its service reorganizations in the Asia-North Europe trade that will take effect in April as part of the French carrier's new partnership with Mediterranean Shipping Corp.

CMA CGM will operate a total of 28 vessels ranging in size from 9,500 to 14,000-TEU capacity in the Asia-North Europe services, which are also known as the FAL services.

The new FAL 1 service will have 11 CMA CGM vessels in the 13,800 to 14,000-TEU range. The port rotation will be Ningbo, Shanghai, Nansha, Hong Kong, Chiwan and Yantian, China, Vung Tau, Vietnam, Southampton, Hamburg, Bremerhaven, Rotterdam, Zeebrugge, Belgium, Le Havre, Malta, Korfakkan, United Arab Emirates, Port Kelang, Malaysia, Singapore, Yantian and Ningbo.

CMA CGM will operate 11 vessels of 11,400-TEU capacity on the new FAL 3 service. Port rotation will be Xingang, China, Pusan, South Korea, Qingdao, Shanghai and Xiamen, China, Singapore, Port Kelang, Tangiers, Morocco, Le Havre, Hamburg, Bremerhaven, Antwerp, Zeebrugge, Beirut, Jeddah, Port Kelang, Singapore and Xiangang.

MSC will operate 11 vessels of 14,000-TEU capacity on the FAL 6 service. Port rotation will be Dalian, Xingang, Kang Yang, Taiwan, Pusan, Qingdao, Ningbo, Shanghai, Singapore, Port Kelang, Felixstowe, Zeebrugge, Antwerp, Rotterdam, Southampton, Valencia, Jebel Ali, Singapore, Hong Kong and Dalian.

MSC will operate 11 vessels of 14,000-TEU capacity on the FAL 7 service. Port rotation will be Ningbo, Shanghai, Xiamen, Chiwan, Yantian, Sines, Le Havre, Rotterdam, Antwerp, Felixstowe, Gioia Tauro, Italy, Singapore, Chiwan, Xiamen and Ningbo.

The FAL 9 service will be operated jointly by CMA CGM and MSC, with CMA CGM contributing five vessels of 9,500-TEU capacity and MSC contributing four vessels of 9,500-TEU capacity. Port rotation will be Shanghai, Ningbo, Hong Kong, Chiwan, Yantian, Singapore, Port Kelang, Gioia Tauro, Malta, Tangiers, Port Kelang, Singapore, Vung Tau and Shanghai.

CMA CGM’s existing agreement with Maersk Line on the Asia-Mediterranean trade will remain unchanged.
