Container carrier APL has appointed Peter Jongepier as regional president of its business in Europe.
Jongepier will be responsible for APL’s commercial activities in Europe, including the former Soviet Union and Turkey. He will be based in Uxbridge, England, and will report directly to Kenneth Glenn, APL’s president.
Jongepier has more than 30 years of experience in the shipping industry, said Glenn in a written statement. He joined APL in 1995.
