Kerry Logistics Breaks Ground on Wuxi Logistics Center
Wuxi, China (June 27, 2011) -- Kerry Logistics has started construction on its 26,000 square meter Wuxi Logistics Center which will have a capacity of 10,000 tonnes when it is completed in the fourth quarter of 2012.
The facility will be the first logistics center in the Southern Jiangsu Province to focus on the electronics & hi-tech, auto spare parts, retail, pharmaceutical and healthcare industries.
This is an important milestone for Kerry Logistics to meet the needs of our growing customer base in Jiangsu Province. The facility will offer services including warehousing, value-added services, distribution and freight, said Edwardo Erni, Managing Director of Mainland China.
Wuxi Logistics Center, which will have an annual turnover of some 60,000 tonnes is conveniently located in the Wuxi New District Wangzhuang Industrial Park and connects directly to National Highway 312 and opposite the Wuxi Export Processing Zone. The logistics facility is also close to Wuxi Airport as well as Shanghai-Nanjing Expressway.
