USDA to Lead Trade Mission to Russia

The U.S. Department of Agriculture announced that Michael Scuse, undersecretary for farm and foreign agricultural services, will lead a mission to promote U.S. agricultural exports in Russia from Dec. 3 to Dec. 7.

Representatives from Idaho, Missouri, North Dakota, Oklahoma and Kansas, plus 23 U.S. companies, will attend.

The goal is to provide participants with firsthand market information, access to government decision makers and one-on-one meetings with business contacts, potential agents, distributers and importers so they can position themselves to enter or expand presence in Russia, now that Russia has joined the World Trade Organization.
