MIQ Logistics has opened a new service center in the Lakeway Business Center in New Orleans.
The facility, which specializes in import and export services, is positioned between the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport and the Port of New Orleans.
The Overland Park, Kan.-based logistics company has also hired Tony Ponder as the sales team’s director of business development. Ponder is based in New Orleans and is responsible for strategic account development and new business efforts.
Before joining MIQ Logistics, Ponder was a sales professional with increasing levels of responsibility at DB Schenker/BAX Global. He has more than 15 years of transportation industry experience in both operations and sales.
