Supply chain management company APL Logistics and automotive third-party logistics provider VASCOR have formed a joint venture to serve the automotive sector in India.
The Delhi-based joint venture, called APL Logistics VASCOR Automotive, combines the companies’ supply chain expertise and auto sector experience. They have appointed Umesh Bhanot as chief operating officer.
The joint venture plans to offer a full spectrum of inbound, outbound and aftermarket parts solutions, but it will initially provide finished vehicle logistics for rail transportation, yard management and containerized transportation.
