Kerry Logistics has opened its newly expanded automotive logistics facility at Laem Chabang, Thailand.
The facility is located in the Chonburi Free Trade Zone where Kerry now boasts total floor area of more than 65,000 square feet, with 80 percent of clients from the automotive sector, spanning spare parts and tires to finished vehicles.
The additional 9,737 square feet of warehouse space will be used to meet the finished vehicle needs of “a leading European luxury vehicle manufacturer” and has a capacity for some 150 vehicles, the 3PL said.
Kledchai Benjaathonsirikul, Kerry’s executive director for Thailand, said the expansion is the company’s latest effort to develop the facility into a major logistics hub for the automotive industry in Thailand to “meet growing demand.”
