Kerry Logistics plans to expand its presence in Thailand further.
The company, which recent expanded its automotive facilities at the port of Laem Chabang, has now acquired 180,000 sq ft of land at the Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate (ESIE) in Rayong Province some 35 kilometers from the same port.
The company said it would build a 115,000 sq ft automotive logistics center on the site that will cater to the 500 auto factories at ESIE, where companies including General Motors and Ford are already located.
The new center is due to open in the second quarter of 2013.
