APL Logistics has expanded its operations in Bangladesh to meet growing demand from the apparel sector.
The company has opened a new 30,500 square-foot Quality Assurance Center in Dhaka and a second center at its container freight station near the port of Chittagong.
The centers allow garment customers to centralize quality assurance activities currently performed across various factory locations using multiple quality assurance specialists, and also offer value-added services including pick & pack, labeling and scanning.
Siddharth Adya, Managing Director for APL Logistics, South Asia, said the extra licensed capacity would open up “new opportunities for growth, particularly in the fast-growing apparel sector.”
