Cold chain solutions provider Cryoport today appointed Jerrell Shelton as president and CEO, effective immediately.
Shelton joined the company’s board of directors on Oct. 22. Following his appointment to the board, Shelton and the other directors reviewed the company’s requirements for executives and concluded that he was “the right fit” for the job, according to Stephen Wasserman, Cryoport’s chairman.
Shelton has more than 30 years of executive and corporate governance experience across several industries, including information services, telecommunications, manufacturing and distribution.
With his appointment, the board of directors dissolved the interim executive position that was formed when the previous president and CEO departed the company.
