U.S. poultry exports in the first three quarters of 2012 were valued at $4 billion, increasing 14 percent from the same period in 2011 and setting a new year-on-year record, according to data from the Foreign Agricultural Service, the USA Poultry & Egg Export Council reported.

It is a 6 percent increase from the first nine months of 2011.
Egg exports through the third quarter also set a new record, up 17 percent year-over-year at $184.9 million, driven by increased demand from Mexico and the European Union.
