North American logistics companies expect to increase revenue 10 percent in the coming year as they target specific industries with high growth potential, including health care, according to a survey of logistics executives released Tuesday.
Nearly three-quarters of the executives surveyed said their companies met or exceeded revenue expectations in 2011, despite a slow-paced economic recovery, according to the 19th Annual Survey of Third-Party Logistics Providers.
The survey, conducted by Robert Lieb, professor of supply chain management at Northeastern University, and sponsored by Penske Logistics, was released in Atlanta at the annual meeting of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals.
