Its interesting he mentions to assure the BL does not mention the name of the actual carrier hauling the goods. We opted to know or have visibility of actual carrier but covered the collection of freight issues within the terms and conditions of the bill of lading. In addition, our Broker Agreement covers broker liability to dispatch only to a "carrier" and not another broker. Without through visibility of actual carrier, we would not have support of contractual breach
