The Foreign Trade Association Celebrates their Centennial

JOC Staff |

Los Angeles, CA— November 2019 — The Foreign Trade Association (FTA) was founded in 1919 by individuals who had the dream of establishing a force to represent the international trade community in Southern California for years to come. FTA has honored their foresight by remaining one of the region's most respected trade associations.

"Today is not just a celebration but an opportunity for us to look back and thank many of the leaders in the trade community who have given the FTA so much. For the last 100 years, the FTA has been at the forefront of trade and transportation issues. I believe we are well-positioned to still have an impact for the next 100 years. " said Ms. Lisa Donabedian, 2019 FTA Board President

The FTA will mark this milestone with a holiday-themed luncheon on Thursday, December 5, 2019, at the Millennium Biltmore in Los Angeles, CA. Attendees will hear from world-renowned economist Christopher Thornberg from Beacon Economics. The occasion will also be highlighted by a look back of our 100 years. We will have in attendance over a dozen of our past presidents.
