Flexi-Van promotes Nathaniel “Than” Seeds to president, COO

Flexi-Van Leasing, LLC (FlexiVan) announced on Aug. 18 the expansion of Nathaniel “Than” Seeds’ leadership role with his promotion to president and chief operating officer of FlexiVan. Than co-founded American Intermodal Management (AIM) with Ron Widdows in 2016 and has led the operating organization for AIM and FlexiVan for the last seven years. In his expanded role, he will now assume overall responsibility for leading the core functions contributing to FlexiVan’s unique go-to-market strategy, including operations, along with the commercial function headed by Greg Moore, chief commercial officer, and the IT function led by Sagar Chikkala, chief information officer.
 
“Since co-founding AIM in 2016, Than has consistently made significant contributions to our business. He was a key driver of the restructuring and development of FlexiVan following the merger with AIM in early 2020, and continues to make valued contributions to the evolution of FlexiVan’s technology-enabled business model. Externally, he has interacted extensively with key customers and has been acknowledged for his innovative and collaborative approach to the business. This broadening of Than’s role will therefore bring greater focus to our engagement with customers and the delivery of the best service in our industry,” said Ronald D. Widdows, CEO of FlexiVan.
 
With a robust background in the shipping and logistics industry spanning more than 30 years, Than’s experience includes nearly 24 years at American President Lines (APL) and Neptune Orient Lines (NOL), where he served as chief operating officer. Than earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of Washington and furthered his education with a Master’s degree in Intermodal Transportation from the University of Denver.
